Lean process is a management philosophy that focuses on identifying and eliminating activities that do not provide added value, both in the process of design, production in the field of manufacturing, and in operations in the field of services and supply chain management that are directly related to customers. The core objective of lean process is to create a more efficient and effective system by minimizing waste and maximizing value-added activities.

The research conducted on the import service process in BICT employed Valsat and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) techniques to identify areas for improvement. These techniques enabled the researchers to map the current state of the process and identify non-value-added activities that could be reduced or eliminated.

The results of the research showed that there were several activities related to administration and waiting time that could be optimized.
