Honey with a concentration of 86% was given four times a day as part of oral care action, while mucositis was evaluated using Oral Assessment Guide (OAG). The data obtained were analyzed by the paired t-test and independent t-test test.

The results showed a significant decrease in the average mucositis score after intervention in groups that receive honey (p-value = 0,000). This indicates that giving honey in oral treatment is effective in reducing mucositis caused by chemotherapy in cancer patients.
