This study aimed to conduct a descriptive survey involving observations and interviews to describe the condition of personal hygiene and sanitation in the traditional market of Rengas Island. The results showed that most traders have a poor level of personal hygiene and do not use complete personal protective equipment while working. In addition, sanitation in the Rengas Island traditional market does not meet the standards set in the Minister of Health Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 17 of 2020.
