The study used a simulation method to mimic the transportation conditions, with a frequency of 1.5 Hz and 3 Hz. The packaging materials used in the study included plastic baskets with straw fillers, newspaper fillers, and other materials.

The results of the study showed significant differences in the percentage of weight loss, mechanical damage, and papaya hardness after transportation simulation. Conversely, the treatment with the lowest results was PKT1, which used newspaper fillers with a 1-hour simulation time. The results obtained were 0.14% for weight loss, 30.95% for mechanical damage, and 2.86 gr/mm for hardness.
