In this study, profitability is used as the dependent variable, while the independent variables analyzed consist of CAR, NPL, LDR, and BOPO. CAR is a measure of a bank's capital adequacy, while NPL is a measure of a bank's non-performing loans. LDR is a measure of a bank's loan to deposit ratio, and BOPO is a measure of a bank's operational costs to operational income.

Data Analysis

To analyze the data, multiple linear regression analysis is used after a classic assumption test to ensure the validity of the regression model used. The results of the analysis show that partially, of the four independent variables studied, only LDR and BOPO had a significant influence on profitability. That is, the movement in the loan ratio to savings (LDR) and operational costs to operating income (BOPO) can directly affect the benefits obtained by the bank.

The results of the study show that:

Partially, of the four independent variables studied, only LDR and BOPO had a significant influence on profitability.
LDR has a significant positive effect on profitability, indicating that high LDRs show efficiency in the use of funds resulting from deposits to be distributed as loans, which will increase interest income.
BOPO has a significant negative effect on profitability, indicating that a low BOPO indicates that the bank has succeeded in controlling its operating costs, thereby increasing profit margins.
CAR and NPL do not show an individual significant effect on the profitability of Mandiri Syariah Bank.

Discussion

The results of the study suggest that LDR and BOPO are critical financial ratios that affect the profitability of Bank Syariah Mandiri. High LDRs indicate efficiency in the use of funds, while low BOPO indicates effective control of operating costs.
