However, at 60 °C and 80 °C, olive oil had the highest dielectric strength, 43.09 kV and 41.36 kV, respectively.

Discussion

The results of this study suggest that rubber seed oil shows promising potential as an alternative to liquid insulation oil, especially at low to medium temperatures. However, a significant decrease in dielectric strength at high temperatures indicates that this oil may not be ideal for applications where operating temperatures can increase significantly. Conversely, olive oil remains superior in terms of dielectric strength at high temperatures, making it a better choice for applications where operating temperatures can increase significantly.
