Introduction

The quality of library services is a crucial aspect of any library's success. In recent years, there has been a growing emphasis on evaluating the quality of library services to ensure that they meet the needs and expectations of users. One method that has been widely used to evaluate the quality of library services is the Libqual+TM method. This method is a comprehensive tool that assesses the quality of library services from the user's perspective. In this study, we aim to evaluate the quality of library services in the Department of Archives and Pematangsiantar City Library using the Libqual+TM method.

Methodology

This study employed a descriptive research design with a quantitative approach. The data collection techniques used in this study included literature studies and questionnaire surveys. The sample used in this study consisted of 1,742 library visitors during 2018. The number of samples was limited to 95 people using the Slovin formula, and sampling was carried out through accidental sampling techniques.

Officer Performance in Services

The performance of officers in service is a critical aspect of library services. In this study, we assessed the performance of officers in service using the Libqual+TM method. The results showed that users provided a fairly good assessment of the performance of officers in service.
