Introduction
Effective communication is a crucial aspect of nursing care services in hospitals. It not only serves as a basis for providing education to patients but also plays a vital role in involving families in understanding health conditions. With increasing understanding, patients and families can participate more actively in the care provided. In this context, the implementation of Communication and Education Management has become an essential indicator in the National Hospital Accreditation Standard (SNARS) since 2018. This research aims to explore the experience of nurses in implementing Communication and Education Management at the University of North Sumatra (USU) Hospital in Medan.
The Importance of Communication and Education Management
Communication and Education Management is a critical component of nursing care services. It involves the exchange of information between healthcare providers, patients, and their families to ensure that everyone is on the same page. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, and data analysis was conducted using the Colaizzi method to gain a deep understanding of the participants' experiences.

The results of this study identified five main themes that were the focus of the implementation of communication and education management in the inpatient room:
Theme 1: Assessment in Communication and Education Planning Nurses conduct a comprehensive assessment to determine the educational needs of patients and families in order to plan appropriate communication. This assessment involves gathering information about the patient's health status, medical history, and social background. The nurse then uses this information to develop a personalized education plan that takes into account the patient's learning style, preferences, and needs.
Theme 2: The Best Efforts in Implementing Management The best practice is applied to ensure effective communication and clear education so that patients and families can understand information well. Theme 5: Continuous Improvement Nurses at USU Hospital are expected to continue to improve their communication and education skills in order to provide better information to patients and their families. With strengthening in this sector, the quality of services in hospitals can be maintained and supports hospital accreditation as a whole.

The results of this study show the importance of communication and education management in improving the quality of nursing services in hospitals. Nurses at USU Hospital are expected to continue to improve their communication and education skills in order to provide better information to patients and their families. With strengthening in this sector, the quality of services in hospitals can be maintained and supports hospital accreditation as a whole.
Finally, this research not only provides insight to nursing practitioners about the importance of communication but also suggests the need for training and continuous support in aspects of communication and education management, to ensure that patients and families feel involved and considered in their health care process.
