Background

Teluk Panji IV Village in Kampung Rakyat District, Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency, is a major oil palm-producing area in Indonesia. Pesticide costs and labor costs are two factors that have a significant impact on farming income in Panji Bay IV. That is, good management related to the use of pesticides and optimizing the use of labor is very important to maximize income.

Meanwhile, MG (Magnesium) fertilizer also shows a significant effect on oil palm productivity. This fertilizer is one of the important elements in supporting plant growth and ensuring that plants get the nutrients needed to grow optimally. By paying attention and optimizing the use of this fertilizer, farmers can increase their crop yields, which in turn can increase productivity and income.

Discussion

The results of this study provide valuable insights for farmers and managers of oil palm plantations in Panji Bay IV. To increase productivity and income, farmers are advised to focus on the efficiency of the use of raw materials such as fertilizers and pesticides, and ensure that labor costs are well managed. In addition, knowledge about the age of oil palm plants is also important, because older plants usually require special attention in care to continue to produce well.
