This means that the consumption of blood shells from the waters of the Asahan River in Tanjung Balai City has the potential to pose health risks for the community.

The CD levels in blood shells are still below the SNI threshold value No. 7387: 2009 (1.0 mg/kg). However, given the significant potential risk, preventive steps are needed to prevent increased CD levels in the future.
