Of these, 108 students were selected as samples based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data was collected using a questionnaire and processed through the Chi Square test and multiple logistics regression analysis.

The results showed that there was a significant relationship between family communication - especially in aspects of openness, empathy, positive attitudes, and equality - as well as communication in schools which included openness and equality, with the knowledge of young women about PMS. From the results of the analysis, the most dominant variable affects is openness in school communication, with a value of P = 0.009 and Exp β of 4.018.
