Soil sampling was carried out in the upper layer (0-20 cm) and the lower layer (20-80 cm) using the quadrant method. The dominant vegetation species under the Pinus Mercusii stands were Eupatorium parscens, while under the Eucalyptus sp stands, Imperata cylindrica was the dominant species.

Data Analysis

Data analysis using multiple regression showed that the soil density (BD) in the underground layer had a significant effect on the height of the Pinus Mercusii tree (p <0.05). However, no significant effect was found on the height of the Eucalyptus sp. This suggests that the soil under the Eucalyptus sp stand has experienced a significant change in physical and chemical properties due to planting the tree.
