This study employed a descriptive survey method involving 78 traders as a sample of a total of 784 traders in the market. The sampling technique used was cluster sampling. Data were analyzed descriptively using frequency and percentage tables.

The results of this study showed that waste management in the Pancur Batu Market is still far from ideal. The market's trash bins and temporary shelters (TPS) do not separate organic and inorganic waste, are not equipped with lids, and are made of material that is not waterproof. This has the potential to pollute the environment and cause unpleasant odors.

Traders' Participation in Maintaining Environmental Cleanliness

The results of this study show that traders' participation in maintaining environmental cleanliness is in the medium category. The participation of traders in providing trash bins is in the medium category (76.9%), indicating that most traders have provided trash bins, but not necessarily in accordance with health standards. The participation of traders in waste disposal is also in the medium category (55.1%), showing that some traders are still littering, causing garbage buildup in the market area. However, the participation of traders in payment of levies is in the high category (100%), indicating that traders have understood the importance of their contribution in waste management.
